By consistently choosing one of these gas stations, you will help improve Utah’s air quality and reduce the health risks posed to Utahns by dirty air.

We are working to update this information as more stations introduce Tier 3 gas. When in doubt, just look for one of the retailer logos included below!

Brands and locations identified here represent gas retailers in Utah that purchase and distribute gasoline from refineries who meet federal Tier 3 standards locally by producing gas which contains 10 ppm sulfur or less on an annual average basis (rather than by purchasing sulfur credits or through corporate pooling averages).

Tier 3 gasoline is cleaner, contains less sulfur, and creates less harmful air pollution than non-Tier 3 gas, especially when used by vehicles produced after 2017. Tier 3 compliance considers the average sulfur content of gasoline produced by refineries over the course of a year - and thus the sulfur content of any particular gallon of gasoline dispensed at a gas station cannot be guaranteed.
